Jesus Flood: The Message Behind Noah Ark

Flood bible verses

We watch for the coming of the Lord when we guard our conduct and refuse to be lured into the evil practices of the world. The world is charming, it promises momentary pleasures.

However, believers must learn to subdue their appetites for the pleasures of this world, in order to lay hold on eternity.

When the people of the world will be pursuing wealth, fame and power at all cost, Christ would return to their utter dismay, leaving them with no opportunity to amend their ways, then the blessedness of our watchfulness will be glaring to all, for the reward of our patients will be Dubey handed to us.

This is exactly what Christ was warning us against, when he said we should not be overcharged by the cares of this life.

Today, many people and even believers are so much concerned about the affairs of this life, that they forget that this world is not their home. If we heed the warning of Christ and remain on our watch, we will not be carried away by the numerous activities going on in the world.

What does the ark symbolize in the bible?

The story of Noah’s Ark should teach us a very great lesson. Before the flood comes, we must get into the book. Jesus is coming soon, we must ensure that we stay put in him.The story of Noah’s Ark is very symbolic. It has deep spiritual revelations, especially to the end-time believers. Noah’s generation was the 10th from Adams.

After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, the generations of men began to increase. The increase of man was not just numerical man also increased in wickedness, and all sorts of evils were on display and practiced on Earth. Just as we see today, the world’s population has reached 7.8 billion people. And the sort of things that were considered wicked in the days of Noah, have never been normalized in today’s society.

The wickedness of men did not start two days ago. It was captured in the fallen nature of humanity. Every evil that humans are practicing today are old traceable to the fall of humans in Eden.

God created humans for his utmost pleasure. He was however aggrieved when humans began to practice evil, as against the purpose of his creation. The sin in the generation of Noah was so abominable, and the same level of decadence and ruin that overwhelmed the world then, is occurring now.

God’s displeasure in the evil acts of men made him regret ever creating them. Therefore, he resorted to wiping off the entire first creation, which he did. Genesis six, verses five to eight, then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thought of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and he was grieved in his heart. So the Lord said, I will destroy a man whom I have created from the face of the earth. both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air for it I’m sorry that I have made them.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. As believers, we need to live righteous lives so that we may find grace in the eyes of the Lord, just like Noah did in his time. In every generation, regardless of how perverse it is, God would still find people he can use to fulfill His purpose on Earth. God will never do a thing in the earth realm without revealing it to his servants, according to Amos three, verse seven, which says, surely the Lord God does nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

God’s righteousness is justified, in that he always provides a route through which men can escape his rough. Second Peter to verse five,
did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly.

How did Noah build the ark?

God ordered Noah to build an ark with precise specifications. Genesis six verses 14 to 16. Make yourself an ark of gopher would make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you should make it.

The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits. It’s with 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. You should make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a qubit from above, and set the door of the arc in its side, you should make it with lower second and third decks.

God gave Noah the perfect description of the construction of the ark. Many of us do fail when it comes to obeying God. Absolutely. If Noah had built the ark with any other words different from a gofer would, or had shortened the length of the arc, in defiance to God’s instruction, he would not have survived until our obedience to God is total, our testimonies will never come.

God wants us to trust and act in total obedience to him, regardless of how simple his instructions are. Men who had remarkable Walks With God were men who walk in absolute obedience to Him.

Genesis flood narrative

Genesis six verse nine, tells us, Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations, Noah walked with God. Prior to the time of Noah’s Flood, there had never been any rain on the earth. It was very easy for Noah to doubt what God told him.

A man who has never experienced rainfall, will hardly believed there is anything called a flood. So it was strange for Noah, yet he acted in obedience, trusting in God, and acting in obedience to His commandments, is interesting, when it is a corporate affair.

But it becomes the most challenging thing when you are left alone. I’m sure many would have asked Noah what he was going to do with an ark. Noah would have relayed to many people, what God intended to do, and would have preached to them to escape for their lives by getting into the ark. But the fact that only Noah and his family were saved from the flood suggested that the people of his time thought it was ridiculous. And in the world we live in today, there are many who will tell you that believing in God is ridiculous.

Many who believe that Jesus is not coming back. But we believe there is no the truth. And we must prepare our lives and act in obedience, just as Noah did, so that we may find grace and mercy in the sight of the Lord. When the time comes. believers should learn to walk with God, even if it means walking alone.

At times, when we walk in obedience to God, we appear to be senseless to men. However, First Corinthians one, verse 25, tells us that the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. The generation of Noah discovered her folly, but it was too late.

Ultimately, believers should know that the ark built by Noah was only a shadow of the reality to come. Jesus Christ is the ark that saves. Therefore, we must believe the Word of God is true and valid, irrespective of the world’s responses to it.

Jesus will return unannounced to take his people to be with him. His return will be a sudden as the event of the flood in Noah’s time, which caught them all unaware. Matthew 24 verses 36 to 44. But of that day and hour, no one knows not even the angels of heaven, but my father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of man be for as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark and did not know until the flood came and took them all away.

So, also will the coming of the Son of Mandy, then two men will be in the field, one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left. Watch there for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But to know this, that if the master of the house had to know what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you also be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour. You do not expect
